TripDay Privacy

This is the canonical statement of how TripDay handles your data. It mirrors the "Your Data & Privacy" section inside the app's About screen — the in-app About modal is the live copy, and this page repeats it word for word so the two never drift.

What TripDay does not do

• ✓ Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it

How your data is stored

TripDay does not know you exist. There is no server receiving your journal entries, expenses, or plans. Everything is stored locally in your browser on your own device.

If TripDay disappeared tomorrow, your backup files are standard JSON — readable, portable, and never locked away. Your memories don't depend on TripDay staying online.

Your backups are yours

TripDay can export a full backup of everything — all trips, all journal entries, all settings — as a standard JSON file. You choose where it goes (your device, your own cloud drive, email to yourself). TripDay never sends it anywhere on your behalf.
